The innocent girl finds a lost Race

Before falling asleep she said in a quiet sleepy tone. "Thank you Zeipher." Then Hikari fell fast asleep.

Zeipher walked for long while till he came to the front of the small town that was in front of the guild. He approached the city cautiously and took Hikari up to the main entrance. Hundreds of eyes stared at him while he approached the gates of the guild. When he got there one of the guards stopped him. Only guild personnel may enter here. "Well I don't need to enter but she's a student here and she needs medical attention she was attacked in the forest east-west of town."

Hikari still asleep in zeiphers hold was unaware of all the people staring.

One of the men at the gate signaled and some staff came out taking Hikari into the guild walls and up to the infirmary. Zeipher turned and started to walk away. A guard reached out and grabbed his shoulder. "Thank you for bring back one of ours." Zeipher shrugged the mans hand off his shoulder and walks away without a word.

A Couple of hours later Hikari woke up in the infirmary."H-Huh where am i." Hikari said sitting up looking around.

"Your in the guild infirmary." The voice belonged to a person Hikari would recognize easily as Dailmora's. "What is an un-trained novice still in the written classes doing in the forest on the east-west side of the guild?"

Hikari shocked that Dailmora was in the Infirmary waiting to ask her that question."D-Dailmora Senpai!" She said suprised quickly turning to him and began to get nervous looking down. "W-W-Well y-ya see.....t-there was this man....h-he was in a tree i said hello....he ran off so i ran after him....he caught my curiosity.....i fell asleep in the clearing....then a Eldreim came out of no where while i was asleep it picked me up and then he came running out and saved me from it.....i hurt my legs and arms so he carried me back....i told him about you and Neildren senpai.....how you are both like me...you dont judge his kind....." Hikari said looking down her knees pressed to her chest holding a pillow.

Dailmora looked a little confused on the last part of her explination. "What do you mean don't judge his kind?" At the exact point Neildren walked through the door. "So what's going on?"

"Well most in the guild do...but hes like Neildren senpai..." Hikari got up and tried her best to walk and shut the door as she took off his helmet she touched his skin. "he was like Neildren Senpai but he was much furrier and he had wings." She said and touched his back where the wings would be. "His Name was Zeipher he was really nice i own him my life...." Hikari handed Neildren back his helmet and smiled at the thought of how Zeipher saved her.

Dailmora and Neildren looked at each other. "Child describe a little better what this man looked like. Also you'll be on suspension for the next month cuz as you know trainee's are not to leave the guild without a senior officer's permission and an upper classmen escort."

"His fur was a beige color he was wearing black i guess combat armor some what... umm he had large dragon wings with small black claws at the end he had brown hair it was long and spikey he had wolf like ears ontop of his head sticking threw his hair." She was a little scared she had never seen them like this. "D-Did i do something wrong Senpai's...." She said getting more scared her eyes beginning to fill with tears.

They both looked at each other with a bit of shock. "No you didn't but you don't realize what you've done. You discovered a race the we all thought was long since dead. The man you found he's the last of his kind and I get the feeling I know exactly who he is." Neildren turned and rushed out the door. Dailmora walked up to Hikari. "Your not in trouble for having found him just for having left without permission. Neildren and I will look into this. You rest and go on back to your room and your friends." Dailmora gave Hikari a hug and he walked out after Neildren.

After they left Hikari got crutches from the nurse and made her way back to her room she got in and shut the door turning off the lights hidding under the covers and thought about what dailmora said it was replaying threw her mind the word friends."Friends...psh no one here even wants to be my friend....." She hid under her covers crying quietly.

Neildren and Dailmora went to where she had been said to have been. They looked around and followed the path she had made. They came to the clearing where she had been attacked and found the body of the creature she had been attacked by. There was a singular clean cut across it's neck. They saw foot prints in the ground that were spread apart meaning the maker had been running. They waited a moment to see if anyone may show up.

Hikari had cried herself to sleep.

Zeipher was hidden watching the two men in the field he knew they were looking for him but he wasn't sure as to why. He didn't dare show himself if they were there to fight him. He could tell that they had worked together for a long while and that as a team they would easily beat him. He listened carefully as one started to talk. "Do you think it's really him? The boy disappeared almost what 10-11 years ago." The other man sighed. "How would I know I only met his parents twice and saw the boy once besides Dailmora what makes you think he'd want to come with us? After what was trying to be forced on him at such a young age heck I can't even remember that boys name." The other man sighed in return. "I can't either his parents died months after he vanished and everyone assumed him dead hell I can't even say for sure if it's the same race till we see him." Zeipher couldn't believe what he had just heard it was all information about him when he was little. Even with what he had heard he stayed hidden he had no reason to go to the guild other then Hikari but he figured she'd come out again she always did. Now that he thought on it he was always there when she came out. Was he watching her? What did it mean that he always went to that exact spot at the exact time that she always would be there? Was there something drawing him to her? So many questions arose in Zeipher's mind. He sat and waited till the two men left and then he relaxed and returned to the spot where he would always see Hikari.

Hikari had woken up hours later it was night she made her way out to the tree and layed under it. "Ah...its so nice here at night." She still had crutches.

Zeipher sat where he always was and noticed the lift in his mood at seeing Hikari. He watched her for a while. He thought numerous time about going and seeing how she was but continually decided not too. He wasn't sure why but he knew that Hikari was rather important to him. He wasn't as well hidden as usual but if she saw him he wouldn't run this time.

Hikari leaned her head back and saw Zeipher. "Zeipher! She said happily smiling at him.

Zeipher hopped down out of the tree and landed next to Hikari. "Hey how are you feeling? I'm sorry you got hurt chasing after me I was just scared that you'd turn me in is all you see i've been being hunted for a long time and so I get uneasy around people but I see now that I can trust you."

"Of Corse you can trust me!" Hikari said rolling over giving him a hug.

Zeipher tensed up he'd never been this close to anyone except in fighting. He felt a smile come to his face. "Thank you Hikari this means alot really does. I've never had a friend of any kind what so ever."

"is that why your so tense right now." Hikari said with a smile still hugging him.

Zeipher kept smiling "I suppose you could say that. You see I've never been around people before so I'm a little nervous is all."

Hikari smiled again and stopped hugging."You dont have to be nervous around me Zeipher." Hikari smiled a little smile and sat beside him.
